GetWellNetwork Partners with DAISY Foundation to Recognize Extraordinary Nurses

at the center of their own care experience. The system turns the television in the patient room into an interactive resource during a hospital stay. By using a wireless keyboard, touch screen or handheld device, patients can interact with the system to access valuable education, communication and entertainment tools directly at the bedside. As part of the DAISY Award program, the patient's television screen will display a message encouraging patients to provide comments about their nurses and take the opportunity to nominate them for the distinguished award.

The passion they have for their job is just incredible," said Marilyn Schaffner, Ph.D., RN, CGRN, administrator for clinical services and chief nursing executive at the Medical University of South Carolina.
