Lief earned his J.D. at Cardozo Law School, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude, ranked in the top five percent of his class, and served as notes editor for the law review. He holds a B.A. in chemistry Magna Cum Laude from Brooklyn College, where he was elected Phi Beta Kappa.
Lief is admitted to practice in the state of New York, the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. He is a frequent speaker on patent law developments.
