Gerard D’Alessio Keeps Readers Guessing in Suspenseful New Novel
Date:9/12/2013

Philadelphia (PRWEB) September 13, 2013

Gerard R. D'Alessio’s debut novel, “Dr. Cappeletti's Chorus” (published by iUniverse), tells the dramatic story of a respected family physician whose life comes to a screeching halt when several female patients accuse him of sexual assault and his family and community begin to doubt his innocence.

“The story is primarily a family drama,” D’Alessio writes of his book, “and provides characters with which most people can identify: the fallen hero, his wife, their parents, and their three teenage children.”

Set in a small town in central Pennsylvania, the book follows Anthony Cappeletti, a dedicated physician who lives a charmed life with his wife and three model children. After many years of seemingly doing all of the right things, Anthony’s world is suddenly turned upside down when eight of his female patients accuse him of sexual assault, causing him to lose his license, his ability to practice medicine and the trust of his family and community.

Anthony tries desperately to convince his family and the jury of a conspiracy plot, but as the trial comes to a close and Anthony faces decades in prison if convicted, will they believe him?

Filled with suspense, courtroom drama and strong characters, “Dr. Cappeletti's Chorus” will have readers wondering what the outcome will be for Anthony and his family. “The book emphasizes the emotional and psychological conflicts that each of Anthony’s family members face,” explains D’Alessio. “They want to believe in his innocence, but feel guilty for doubting and fearful for their own futures.”
