GeoFitness, Inc. is Now GeoMotion Group, an Innovative and Fast Growing Learning and Fitness Company for All Ages

ORLANDO, Fla., June 9 /PRNewswire/ -- GeoFitness's main goal has been to get Americans up and moving by being a leading provider of movement-based products and curriculum. Their ability to provide solutions to the rise in obesity with sound programming that also enhances learning has provided unprecedented growth. The name change to GeoMotion Group reflects their expansion as they broaden their programming to include 3 distinct product lines which can interact to offer a complete solution.

"We must get children off the couch, away from 'screens' and let them find the joy in moving. Habits for being physically active need to start when children are young," says Dr. Debby Mitchell, President and Founder of GeoMotion Group.

Learnercise is the newest programming and is as the name implies - learning while exercising for children from 3 - 10. Curriculum is designed to get children up moving while learning numbers, colors, alphabet, time, and more... Multi-sensory integration allows more success than with traditional learning. The development of the whole child (Cognitive, Psychomotor, and Affective) is enhanced with inclusion of a variety of teaching methods / learning styles.

GeoFitness, the original company name, is now the product line that is designed to offer each person success with fitness activities. Variety and choice is important to keep individuals motivated and having fun. Some choices include: Aerobics, Kick Boxing, GeoFit (Functional Integrated Training), GeoMetrix - Athletic Performance - Speed & Agility, Fitness Relays, Games & Circuits, Fundamental & Core Movements, and Sport Specific with Soccer.

GeoDance makes learning to dance simple and fun. In the last decade there has been more interest in dance as indicated by the popular television dance competitions and movies with a plot around dance. Learning dance is as easy as stepping to the numbers. Participants can learn Latin, ballroom, partner, hip hop, or fun children's choreographed routines.

"In my view, GeoFitness (now GeoMotion) is more economical, practical and curriculum based than other programs. The primary reason our school invested in GeoFitness was the fact that your program aligns with all of our national and state standards for physical activity, it has many applications: hip hop, salsa, boxercise, functional training, and it's developmentally appropriate to students (K-12). I like the fact that the GeoMats teach kids about problem solving, sequencing skills and how to layer choreography on the mats. It's more than just mindless movement," says Joann Kelle, P.E. Specialist (K-8), Summit School of Ahwatukee.
