Generation Covenant (aka Adoption Covenant) and its CEO, Merinda K. Condra Proudly Announce the Formation of The Institute for Creative Learners
Date:5/30/2013

(PRWEB) May 30, 2013

Generation Covenant (aka Adoption Covenant) and its CEO, Merinda K. Condra, announce the formation of the Institute for Creative Learners to increase learning opportunities for children in West Texas.

Creative Learners is a cutting edge educational program combining art, technology, and traditional Orton Gillingham teaching methods to maximize the potential for children with learning differences.

According to CEO and founder of Generation Covenant, Merinda K. Condra, “Studies suggest many of our children with learning differences are actually out-of the-box thinkers with untapped potential for success. Many of these children have exceptional creative abilities. This program will provide children with learning differences the opportunity to explore their unique creative gifts while developing stronger readers and greater self-esteem.”

This program is made possible through the generosity of J.T. and Margaret Talkington which continues to benefit the Lubbock community through the J.T. and Margaret Talkington Charitable Foundation, Inc. Without the support of the Talkington Foundation, this program would not be possible.

The Institute will be offering a summer camp for children entering in the second, third, and fourth grades. Preference is given to students with a diagnosis of dyslexia or teacher referral indicating struggling or below reading level. The camp is a three week program and will have two sessions, one morning and one afternoon July 8-July 26. Limited spaces and limited scholarships are available. For additional information please contact Jody at 806-741-1860.
