GemaTech Launches Portable Recovery Unit. The Latest Design in Emergency Telecoms Resilience and Continuity

Telecoms technology company GemaTech launches its new approach to emergency telecoms recovery. The Portable Recovery Unit (PRU) is a call re-routing solution offered on a low annual subscription basis. The PRU enables organisations to rapidly re-route their incoming calls to any number of alternative phones in any location, with additional voice recording if desired, to deliver business continuity following a disruption .

(PRWEB) December 4, 2009 -- UK company GemaTech launches a new approach to re-routing incoming phone calls to other phones or mobiles to facilitate business continuity in an emergency.

The Portable Recovery Unit (PRU) can be activated within four hours and is offered on a subscription basis - an ideal cost model for organisations who can't justify implementing a permanently installed telecoms continuity solution.

Each PRU unit is capable of re-routing up to 120 concurrent calls for individual geographic or non-geographic extension (DDI) numbers to any range of mobile or landline numbers.

CEO Graham Chick explains the concept,

“Unfortuntaley the attitude of many organisations in the UK today towards employing a robust telecoms continuity solution is one of apathy. We have developed a product, offered on a subscription basis which gives organisations the insurance that they have a way of re-routing their incoming calls rapidly, to continue providing business as usual following any kind of disruptive event.”

Because the PRU sits in the local serving carrier’s exchange, there is no need for a member of staff to access the regular office building or telephone switch to re-route the calls, an
