Chicago, IL (PRWEB) July 25, 2014
Garth Brooks Chicago tickets go on sale Friday, July 25th for his performance at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont. Garth Brooks was one of the leaders on the country music scene from the time he released his first single in 1989. Since "Much Too Young (To Feel This Damn Old)" was released, fans have quickly flocked to the shows from the Tulsa, Okl. native and in the years that he has been away from the scene, have wanted to see him back on a stage and in the recording studio. Between 2001 and 2009, fans heard new music in albums released exclusively at WalMart, but now will be able to see the country superstar live and in person on his 2014 World Tour. The first date on that tour will come on September 4th from the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, IL.
The multi-purpose arena originally opened in 1980 and is located in the Greater Chicago area. The venue has been home to numerous events during its time including being home of the Chicago Sky of the Women’s National Basketball Association, DePaul Blue Demons college basketball team, and multiple WrestleMania events put on by World Wrestling Entertainment. The facility can seat more than 18,500 fans for concerts and with this stop being the first announced on the Brooks 2014 World Tour and his first visit to the city in close to two decades, these seats may go quickly.
Brooks released his self-titled first album in 1989 and the album was an instant success. It was his first to be certified Diamond by the Recording Industry Association of America for selling more than 10 million copies. He has since released five other albums that have attained the same certification; No Fences, Ropin’ The World, Sevens, The Hits, and Double Live. In total, 52-year-old has released nine studio albums, four compilations and one live record that have received 134 total Platinum certifications with more than 69.5 million records sold in the United States. In the age of SoundScan, he is the best-selling artist of all time.
Also performing on this stop with Brooks in Chicago will be his wife, Trisha Yearwood. Yearwood, the 49-year-old native of Monticello, Georgia has had quite a career for herself in the country business, releasing 15 total studio and compilation albums. In 1991, she released her first single, “She’s In Love With a Boy,” which reached the top of the country charts and began her rise in the business.
