Garden Media Group Unveils New Marketing and Public Relations Blog, GROW

Garden Media Group, the top public relations firm in the lawn and garden industry, has launched GROW, a new blog to help growers, manufacturers, landscapers and retailers grow their businesses.

Garden Media is no stranger to blogging. For more than 10 years, The Garden Plot blog has been dishing on all things green for consumers. The new GROW blog has a different voice. It speaks directly to green industry owners and marketing professionals.

“GROW covers everything from the impact of social media and the rise of Pinterest to tried and true aspects of traditional public relations. We started GROW to share our expertise with businesses in the lawn and garden industry to help them better understand and use the tricks of our trade,” notes Suzi McCoy, founder of Garden Media.

Although there is no secret weapon, Garden Media knows a few tricks to blogging success. For example, blogs require time, unique content and perseverance.

Using analytics to track visitors, interactions and shares to find the optimal time of day and week to post has been part of the success that has driven more traffic to the site. Additionally, using long-tail key words, social sharing and editorial calendars has helped boost traffic.

McCoy reflects on the benefits of GROW. “It is certainly a tool for professionals in the lawn and garden industry, but it also has been a huge benefit for our agency. Providing informative and relevant content has attracted countless new connections and clients, serving as the foundation for all our social marketing.”
