NEW YORK, May 28 /PRNewswire/ -- A New York company says Testosterone is just the lucky charm competitive poker players need at the card table. Casino giant Harrah's Entertainment signed an agreement with West Babylon's Gamma Labs, maker of the boosting testosterone pill, to participate as a 2008 World Series of Poker sponsor in Las Vegas. The tournament takes place at the Rio(R) All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas from May 30 through July 14.
Gamma Labs will highlight their newly released testosterone booster product, Gamma-O Plus Pomegranate, as an official sponsor of the WSOP. Gamma-O Plus Pomegranate contains Gamma-Oryzanol, an extract from rice bran oil which encourages the body to produce more testosterone, and pomegranate extract which has been shown to dramatically decrease the risk of prostate cancer. Gamma-O increases mental acuity, focus, and balance - precisely the skills that are needed to excel at the challenging game of poker.
"This is truly an exciting opportunity," commented Clifford T. Morgan, Chief Executive Officer of Gamma Labs. "Unlike some testosterone boosters, Gamma-O does more than develop muscles and increase strength. This unique product also improves focus and concentration, making it a natural tie-in for an event like the World Series of Poker."
"We are thrilled to welcome Gamma Labs to the poker fold," said Jeffrey Pollack, World Series of Poker commissioner.
The 39th annual World Series of Poker will feature a 55-event schedule that includes a total of eight $1,500 buy-in No-Limit Texas Hold'em poker tournaments. At last year's event, more than 54,000 entrants ranging in age from 21 to 94 competed for the world's largest total prize pool of nearly $160 million.
