Game Ready(TM) and ReGear Life Sciences(TM) Bring Innovative New Heat Therapy to Market

Introducing ReBound(TM) the Revolution in Thermotherapy

ALAMEDA, Calif. and PITTSBURGH, Nov. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Game Ready and ReGear Life Sciences announced today the introduction of ReBound, a new and innovative therapeutic warming system designed to treat pain, muscle spasms, and joint contractures using radio frequency (RF) diathermy. Game Ready -- long known for providing state-of-the-art injury treatment systems to the physical therapy and athletic training markets -- will distribute this product developed by ReGear.

ReBound utilizes ReGear Diathermy(TM) technology, a revolutionary form of the well-known RF diathermy modality. Diathermy is known to generate heat from within deep tissue and maintains even therapeutic warming temperatures over a broad-targeted region. This form of thermotherapy can be used to treat pain, muscle spasms, and joint contractures. It can also alleviate pain associated with a variety of conditions such as osteoarthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, lower-back pain, fibromyalgia, soft tissue injuries and others.

ReBound is the first product to offer these benefits in a compact, portable, simple to use system that is approved for unattended use and that can be used within clinical environments or at home, without the aid of an attendant. Formfitting garments designed for specific parts of the body deliver ReGear Diathermy to the area being treated.

"While we have never before chosen to distribute another company's products, this is a rare opportunity and a great fit," Game Ready's chief executive officer Russ Harrison said. "We are bringing ReBound to our customer base because the unique warming technology found in this product is a natural complement to Game Ready's cold and compression therapy in the patient or athlete's continuum of care. We are thrilled to be able to offer this exciting new technology to our customers."

ReGear's chief executive officer James (Chip) Hanlon said, "Our products can really make a difference in a person's life. The deep therapeutic heating we provide is known to reduce or eliminate pain, enhance recovery and rehabilitation programs, and increase one's ability to get back in the game and live a rich, active life. The goal of both companies is to provide effective and efficient treatment to speed healing for injured persons. Sports medicine, physical therapy, and other specialty areas fully understand the combination of cold and heat in the healing process. We have a great partner in Game Ready and we have been working on this launch with them for nearly a year. We are really excited to now be able to leverage our relationship and bring these products to a larger number of users."
