GNC Honors Herb Day Tomorrow (and All Month Long)
Date:10/12/2007

PITTSBURGH, Oct. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- GNC -- along with thousands of herb-loving individuals, organizations and businesses across the nation -- will observe National Herb Day 2007 tomorrow, Oct. 13. The company will continue to celebrate throughout the entire month of October by giving customers free 28-ct Mega Men(R) or Women's Ultra Mega(R) multivitamins when they spend $25 or more on herbs.

National Herb Day recognizes the importance of safely and creatively using herbs to benefit health, beauty and culinary enjoyment, and seeks to familiarize the public with herbal products and raise awareness about the significance of herbs, according to the herbday.org Web site.

GNC certainly knows the benefits of herbal supplementation when incorporated into a healthy lifestyle. Whether consumers want to address a certain concern, get the full potency of an herb's active ingredient, or save money on the herbs they take regularly, GNC has several herbal lines to choose from, with astragalus, yohimbe and everything in between.

Some of the most popular herbal products include Ginkgo Biloba, which may support mental sharpness, Green Tea Extract with natural antioxidants and EGCG to support healthy metabolism, and Milk Thistle, shown to promote liver health. And all of GNC's herbs are backed by some of the highest standards in the industry. They're formulated and tested to meet multiple quality and safety standards, including raw materials standards, purity standards, potency standards, freshness standards and package integrity standards.

Herb Day, founded by the HerbDay Coalition and co-sponsored by GNC, will include an Herb Day Festival, keynote address and other events at the United States Botanic Garden in Washington, D.C. For a complete listing of Herb Day events and other information, visit http://www.herbday.org. To find out what's going on at your local GNC, visit the store locator at GNC.com.<
