GHX Vice President Bill Carlson Named to Supply & Demand Chain Executive's 2009 Pros to Know List
Date:5/11/2009

LOUISVILLE, Colo., May 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Bill Carlson, vice president, marketing for GHX, has been named one of Supply & Demand Chain Executive magazine's 2009 Pros to Know for his commitment to helping build a demand-driven supply chain in healthcare. With more than 20 years experience in healthcare, Carlson's groundbreaking work at GHX addresses the challenges of today's economy, in which supply chain costs are the second-highest and fastest-growing expense category for most hospitals.

Carlson has dedicated his career to helping healthcare providers and suppliers collaborate to achieve both clinical and operational excellence. Most recently, Carlson's efforts have focused on furthering new industry initiatives such as track and trace, as well as creating greater visibility to a broad range of supply chain data, enabling organizations to increase knowledge-based decision making.

"Bill's unique vision to improve the value chain earns him a spot on this year's list of Provider Pros to Know," said Andrew Reese, editor of Supply & Demand Chain Executive. "His dedication to helping healthcare providers and their partners through a tough economic downturn makes him an outstanding role model."

The annual award, now in its eighth year, attracted a record 300 nominees for 2009. Editors and a panel of experts selected winners based on their passion and vision for helping clients thrive

in a down economy. The full listing of the 2009 Pros to Know can be found at: http://www.sdcexec.com/print/Supply-and-Demand-Chain-Executive/2009-Pros-to-Know/1$11180.
