GFPI President Julia Bradsher Promotes Food Safety at Global Food Safety Partnership Conference
Date:12/12/2013

SINGAPORE (PRWEB) December 12, 2013

Dr. Julia Bradsher, President and CEO of the Global Food Protection Institute, will join stakeholders from more than 70 countries at the Global Food Safety Partnership (GFSP) 2nd Annual Conference in Singapore. These stakeholders will be representing private companies, international organizations, trade associations, academic institutions, and NGOs from around the world.

The participants of the two-day conference will evaluate the first-year achievements of GFSP, which include building an alliance of over 30 organizations, raising $2 million for the Partnership’s multi-donor trust fund, and delivering six initial capacity-building programs. The conference attendees will also discuss the GFSP’s 2014 and longer-term work plan.

The GFSP’s mission is to create a new paradigm of public-private collaboration for food safety capacity-building. The Partnership aims to reduce risks to consumers and businesses and increase the benefits to both public health and the economy by strengthening food safety protections and supporting effective and efficient global supply chains.

“The Global Food Protection Institute is pleased to be a partner and bring our expertise in training systems to the GFSP. Our missions are very much aligned,” said Dr. Bradsher. “Through the cooperation and collaboration of the GFSP, our shared vision of a world where people in all countries have access to safe, high quality food can become a reality.”
