G & G Holistic Addiction Treatment has added the use of Mild Hyperbarics to drug and alcohol treatment program protocols. Long used around the world, including Scotland and Russia, mild hyperbarics is not generally associated with drug and alcohol treatment in the U.S. G & G provides drug and alcohol treatment and recovery services that meet the needs of the person in mind, body and spirit.

(January 11, 2009 - North Miami Beach, FL - G & G Holistic Addiction Treatment has added the use of Mild Hyperbarics to treatment protocols. Long used around the world, including Scotland and Russia, mild hyperbarics is not generally associated with drug and alcohol treatment in the U.S. G & G provides drug and alcohol treatment and recovery services that meet the needs of the person in mind, body and spirit. Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is being used to help repair and restore the body and mind.

In the 1980's, oxygen bars were common in the U.S. and are still popular today in Japan. That's because the use of oxygen under slightly increased pressure allows chemicals that build up during drinking and ultimately cause hangovers to be cleared faster. Long term use of alcohol and drugs looks very similar to poisoning and stroke in brain scans: large areas of brain show no activity.

Not too long ago, doctors and scientists thought that once damaged, tissue in the brain could not heal. Recently doctors using Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) have demonstrated that not only can brain tissue heal, even brain tissue with old injuries can be restored to functioning. Perhaps damage done while abusing alcohol and drugs can be 'un-done' to some extent using HBOT.
