ty theft to comply with the Identity Theft Red Flag regulations as part of the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions (FACT) Act. Providers are required to implement policies and technologies to ensure that patients do not receive improper care and that they are not incorrectly diagnosed because their medical records have been compromised and/or are tainted with another patient's information. The Red Flag regulations also require providers to secure patients' medical records to prevent them from becoming victims of identity theft. ValleyCare's PALM patient registration and identification system helps the hospital comply with these requirements by providing a highly accurate form of authentication that cannot be tampered with or bypassed.
