From Olympic Pool to Backyard Pool: 'Madame Butterfly' still Elite
Date:9/30/2013

(PRWEB) September 30, 2013

One of the most decorated Australian swimmers in history, Susie O’Neill has partnered with Endless Pools, installing an Elite Model as her backyard pool.

Nicknamed Madame Butterfly, O’Neill captured Olympic Gold in both the 200m butterfly and the 200m freestyle, and totaled eight medals among her three trips to the Olympic games.

A member of the Sport Australia Hall of Fame, she has transitioned to her position as a high-profile swimming analyst, but still works hard to keep fit.

When deciding what kind of pool she wanted to add to her home, O’Neill realized she didn’t want to worry about the high cost in both time and money of a conventional pool.

"I’m using the Endless Pool twelve months of the year," said O’Neill. "It’s a lot more practical than having a normal pool in the backyard."

"For me, swimming is like meditation. I’m not going to hop into my car and drive all the way to the 50 meter pool to do that."

O’Neill not only challenges herself with a swim against the Endless Pool Current, but her children have made the pool part of their routine as well.

"The kids use it a lot when they come home after school. They’ll jump in to cool off, float against the current and play games with the current."

With a record 35 Australian titles, she set the swimming bar high for her country. O’Neill proves once again that the Elite Endless Pool, with a top speed of under :50/100yards, meets the highest standards in the world.

For convenience and performance, Madame Butterfly realized the Endless Pool couldn’t be beat.

"I can use it as a normal pool—just jump in and cool off, or I can use it to get some exercise," said O’Neill.

"The convenience of an Endless Pool is really what makes it so special."
