Friday's Kids Respite Holds Fundraising Event to Help Children with Special Needs

First Annual 100% Virtual eBay Auction

OREM, Utah, April 28 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Friday's Kids Respite (http://www.fridayskids.org), a local nonprofit organization, will be holding its first annual Lifting Angels Auction the week leading up to Mother's Day. With more than 175 diverse items to auction, Friday's Kids' goal is to raise $15,000 to continue providing respite care to families of children with special needs. As the major fundraising campaign, the auction will attract a diverse group of people throughout the state, and country, who support children with special needs and are looking for meaningful Mother's Day gifts.

Friday's Kids Respite is a free service provided to families who are awaiting assistance from the state (a wait list averaging five years long). The auction, conducted through eBay's charitable giving arm Missionfish, will raise critical funds to provide parents of children with special needs a much deserved consistent night off. Bids will begin May 5th at 6:00 a.m., and run through May 11th at 11:59 p.m. Items up for auction include:

-- LSAT prep courses through ACE Prep Test

-- Disneyland tickets

-- Various packages for spa and salon services

-- Vacations to Hawaii and St. Thomas

-- LDS Travel Study Gift Certificates

-- Children's Birthday Parties packages

-- Various "Date Night" packages including dinner and theatre

tickets

-- And many, many more
