Free H1N1 Vaccines Available at Concentra Urgent Care

"Anyone who wants an H1N1 vaccination will be able to get one at no cost, through convenient Concentra Urgent Care locations," said Senior Vice President of Medical Operations Bill Lewis, M.D.  "With free vaccines and trusted medical expertise, Concentra joins with government and health officials nationwide to help protect as many people as possible from becoming ill from the H1N1 virus."

According to Federal health officials, nearly 10,000 persons in the U.S. have died from the H1N1 virus since the new virus strain first appeared in April of last year. In addition, approximately one out of every six people in the nation has been stricken with the virus.  Public health officials predict flu activity – caused either by the H1N1 virus or traditional seasonal flu viruses – to continue for months. The H1N1 vaccine is the most effective protection against the H1N1 virus, is completely safe, and recommended for every person.
