Franklin & Seidelmann Enters Full-Service Teleradiology Market with Acquisition of Apex Radiology

Seidelmann added that F&S will introduce to its existing client base a new proprietary radiology workflow technology called AccuRad(TM). This Web-based workflow portal will enable clients to manage report delivery via automated fax, online access, or encrypted email. AccuRad also offers real-time status checking on reports and enables referring physicians to view reports and images. Future enhancements will include online order entry and referral volume analytics. In addition to AccuRad, F&S already provides its clients with support services such as credentialing, protocol training, professional billing and marketing.

Seidelmann noted that while his company has grown rapidly in recent years, from a small core group of subspecialty teleradiologists to today's market leader in final reports via its network of 100+ radiologists, its mission remains unchanged from when the company began in 2001 - to provide the highest quality of radiology services to the healthcare community in order to improve the level of patient care.
