s helped the nation's most influential hospitals, health care systems and government agencies prioritize and invest in technologies that make health care safer and more affordable," said Coye. "It has become increasingly clear that our industry-leading research must become more widely accessible as the nation seeks to transform health care and leverage emerging clinical and health information technologies to do so. Our vision has always been to advance the use of new technologies to improve the health of people and communities. Affiliating with PHI is the best way to assure fulfillment of our vision."

HealthTech and PHI are currently exploring the best way to archive and disseminate HealthTech's work in order to make it widely available to researchers, public health leaders, policy leaders and health providers both in the U.S. and globally.

"HealthTech's impressive body of work complements our mission to advance community health and improve the efficacy of public health statewide, nationally and internationally," said Mary A. Pittman, DrPH, president and CEO of PHI. "We are thrilled to be in a position to extend the influence of HealthTech's important work and to leverage its assets to ensure that public health is included in the dialog on health reform."

Coye has extensive experience in both the public and private sectors. She served as Commissioner of Health for the State of New Jersey and Director of the California Department of Health Services, in addition to heading the Division of Public Health at the Johns Hopkins School of Hygiene and Public Health, leading marketing and product development for interactive health communication and disease management at HealthDesk Corp, serving as Executive Vice President for the Good Samaritan Health System, and directing The Lewin Group's West Coast office.

As a member of the Institute of Medicine, Coye co-authored the reports To Err is Human and
