Foundation for Hair Restoration Brings Breakthrough Surgical Technology to the U.S. and Announces Nationwide Expansion of Its Network of Top Doctors
Date:5/12/2009

MIAMI, May 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Miami and NY-based Jeffrey Epstein, M.D., FACS, one of the world's foremost surgical hair restoration experts, has recently established The Foundation for Hair Restoration and Plastic Surgery, Inc. (FHRPS), a nationwide group of top surgical hair restoration and plastic surgeons. Recognized for expertise and specialization in their respective fields, these doctors will help to position The Foundation for Hair Restoration and Plastic Surgery as the nation's leading specialized surgical network.

"Although cosmetic procedures are down by almost 50% (industry wide) the FHRPS has grown to expand its business by bringing together a select group of prominent surgeons. With the expansion, we can now create a larger network of renowned hair restoration and plastic surgeons making the selection process much easier for prospective patients," said Dr. Jeffrey Epstein, M.D., FACS and founder of The Foundation for Hair Restoration and Plastic Surgery.

The FHRPS brings their patients the latest in hair restoration technology with the implementation of a breakthrough procedure called follicular unit extraction (FUE). This technique is an incisionless procedure in which hundreds to thousands of hair grafts are harvested from the sides and back of the head using a small, circular-shaped 0.8mm punch that leaves minimal to no scarring. Each of these grafts is then re-implanted into the balding areas. This procedure decreases recovery time, and is ideal for patients who wish to wear their hair short.

The FHRPS's Newest Surgeons

Dr. Glenn Charles, Secretary of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery has specialized in the hair restoration field for over 10 years.

New York-based Dr. Yael Halaas is board certified by the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and widely sought after for fa
