Foundation Radiology Group Signs Multi-Year Contracts for Diagnostic Services with Pineville Community and Knox County Hospitals

PITTSBURGH, July 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Pittsburgh-based Foundation Radiology Group (FRG) has signed multi-year contracts with Pineville Community Hospital, Pineville, KY; and Knox County Hospital, Barbourville, KY, through which FRG will become their exclusive provider of diagnostic imaging professional services, effective July 1st.

Pineville Community Hospital (PCH) is a short-term, acute care 136-bed hospital. It offers a wide range of health care services, including: emergency care, home health, laboratory services available 24/7, respiratory, specialty clinics, inpatient surgery and a radiology department with advanced diagnostic testing procedures.

Milton Brooks, chief executive officer of PCH said, "We are pleased to have Foundation Radiology Group join the PCH family. Our goal is to enhance quality patient care through this new association."

Knox County Hospital is a critical access 41-bed hospital with a 16-bed skilled nursing unit. They offer a wide range of health care services, including: nuclear medicine, surgical services, physical therapy, spiral C.T., mammography services and a 24-hour, fully staffed emergency room.

Rebecca Lewis, chief executive officer of Knox County Hospital said, "We are pleased to partner with FRG. The experience and expertise this group brings to Knox County will definitely improve health care for our patients."

FRG's board certified radiologists are available 24/7/365 to provide readings in muscularskeletal radiology, neuroradiology, mammography, cardiac CT, interventional radiology, pediatric radiology, brain perfusion, vascular ultrasound, OB/GYN ultrasound and general radiology. With this broad range of capabilities, FRG is ideally positioned to provide subspecialty radiological services to smaller hospitals and outpatient centers that can't afford to keep subspecialists on staff.
