Foundation Radiology Group Adds World Class Cardiovascular Imaging Expert, Dr. Sanj Katyal, to Staff

PITTSBURGH, Nov. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Pittsburgh-based Foundation Radiology Group (FRG) is pleased to announce the hiring of Dr. Sanj Katyal as their new Senior Vice President of Clinical Operations. Katyal will be joining them from West Penn Hospital, where he was most recently the Chief of Cardiovascular Imaging and Past President of the Pittsburgh Radiology Society.

Dr. Katyal is widely regarded as the preeminent cardiovascular imager in Western Pennsylvania. Dr. Derek Armfield, president of FRG, said, "Dr. Katyal is not only a great clinician but a well-recognized leader in the local and national radiology landscape. His expertise in advanced body imaging and cardiac CT will further enhance our ability to provide subspecialty interpretations for our clients. FRG's board certified radiologists are available 24/7/365 to provide readings in musculoskeletal radiology, neuroradiology, mammography, cardiac CT, interventional radiology, pediatric radiology, brain perfusion, vascular ultrasound, OB/GYN ultrasound and general radiology. With this broad range of capabilities, FRG is ideally positioned to provide subspecialty radiological services to smaller hospitals and outpatient centers that can't afford to keep subspecialists on staff. The addition of Katyal is a testament to their desire to build up their subspecialty offerings.
