Date:3/17/2010

PITTSBURGH, March 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Foundation Radiology Group (FRG), the premier provider of diagnostic imaging professional services, headquartered in downtown Pittsburgh, is pleased to announce the addition of Barbara Beaudin as Chief Financial Officer (CFO.)

Prior to joining FRG, Beaudin served as Vice President of Finance for the Specialty Pharmacy Division of Walgreen Co. In this role, she was responsible for accounting functions, financial reporting and analysis, pricing strategy and compliance, contracting, reimbursement and the coordination of mergers and acquisitions.

Previously, she held the position of Chief Financial Officer of Medmark, Inc., which was acquired by Walgreen, Co. in 2006 as the platform company of Walgreens Specialty Pharmacy Division. As CFO, Beaudin was responsible for cash management, developing and implementing reimbursement, accounting and finance policies and procedures, as well as overseeing the human resource functions.

Before working with Medmark, Beaudin served as Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Alliance Ventures, Inc., a Highmark Company. While with Alliance Ventures, Beaudin engaged in turnaround activities, including negotiating employment and affiliation agreements.

From 1995-1998, Beaudin was an Audit Manager with Coopers & Lybrand, specializing in the healthcare industry. She served as Director of Finance for the Seton Health System in Troy, NY from 1993-1995, during the consolidation of two community hospitals.

Beaudin began her career in accounting and finance with Price Waterhouse in southern California in 1989.

"Barbara's financial background and extensive experience within the healthcare industry make her a perfect fit for our organization," said John C. Prior, interim CEO, Foundation Radiology Group. "She is a vital addition to our executive management team."

"This is a very exciting time in the healthcare industry. There are many positive changes being made through the use of the latest technologies," said Beaudin.  "FRG is combining technology with a highly-skilled group of physicians to positively impact patient care, and I'm pleased to be part of such a forward-thinking organization."

Beaudin holds a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Management from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with an emphasis in accounting, from the California State University at Long Beach.

She was selected as a finalist for the Pittsburgh Business Times "CFO of the Year" award in 2006.
