Former Microsoft Healthcare Executive Joins iMedExchange
Date:8/6/2009

SEATTLE, Aug. 6, /PRNewswire/ -- iMedExchange, the fastest growing social network for physicians, announced today the addition of former Microsoft healthcare executive and new media expert Dave Chase to its leadership team. Mr. Chase joins iMedExchange as Vice President of New Media Partnerships and will lead the start-up's partnerships with Pharmaceutical, Medical Device and Luxury Goods and Services companies.

Dave Chase was the founder and Worldwide Director of Microsoft's Healthcare business. During his time in that role, he was named Marketer of the Year at Microsoft for spearheading Microsoft's relationship with the Healthcare community. Chase started his career as a consultant with Accenture where he consulted with nearly 20 different healthcare organizations.

Before leaving Microsoft in 2003, Chase led MSN's Industry Marketing and Relations. In particular, he was tasked with identifying why major brand marketers such as P&G and Nike weren't allocating their marketing dollars to the Internet. Responding to their major brands' needs led to a string of 7 years of 25% year over year growth for the Internet Ad industry making the Internet one of the leading marketing mediums.

iMedExchange has established itself as the leading community for physicians addressing both their professional needs and personal passions. Every day, thousands of physicians interact with each other sharing insights on everything from medical procedures to their personal passions.

In this new role, Mr. Chase will seek out opportunities that add value to iMedExchange's trusted relationship with physicians while giving sponsoring organizations the ability to leverage iMedExchange's social media platform to promote their products and reach their goals.

"Pharmaceutical and medical device companies in particular face a changed landscape when reaching physicians," said Chase. "Increasingly, these companies are turning to new media opportunities to expand their reach and exposure."
