Athletics has also taught Kaiser many unlikely lessons in chiropractic. He relates football to the way he approaches patient care. Players go through training camp with the ultimate goal of making the team roster. But sometimes, despite how hard they practice or how well they play, they still might not reach their goal. In health care, each patient presents a similar challenge. "You have your best intentions to help them, but no matter how well you do, you might not help every single one," Kaiser said.
Kaiser has prepared himself to help as many patients as possible by taking the "doctor" side of his education seriously, paying special attention to the body from a biochemical and physiological standpoint. "Don't downgrade the role a chiropractor has in the health care system," said Kaiser. "The more you know about the body, the more prepared you're going to be for something more than low back pain."
Kaiser is thankful for his family and wife Leann who have shown tremendous support and understanding through this demanding education process. "The future is bright," said Kaiser. "I'm walking away with a great education, and I'm going to be a doctor. I feel pretty good about things."
