Satori World Medical, a leading global healthcare company specializing in the emerging medical travel space, announced that international medical quality authority, Dr. David Jaimovich, has joined its Medical Quality Advisory Board (MQAB).

San Diego, CA (PRWEB) December 3, 2009 –- Satori World Medical, a leading global healthcare company specializing in the emerging medical travel space, announced that international medical quality authority, Dr. David Jaimovich, has joined its Medical Quality Advisory Board (MQAB).

As former Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and Vice President (VP) of Joint Commission International (JCI), the international arm of the U.S. hospital accrediting body, Dr. Jaimovich will provide valuable insight into Satori World Medical’s Quality Assurance Program™ to ensure that the highest standards in medical quality are continuously met throughout the organization.

“I am very pleased to join Satori World Medical’s Medical Quality Advisory Board and look forward to helping the company continue setting the highest medical quality standards throughout the global healthcare industry,” said Dr. Jaimovich, President and Founder of Quality Resources International, a consulting company specializing in the improvement of quality and safety of international healthcare organizations. “I have carefully reviewed Satori World Medical’s quality assurance program and am very impressed with the measures that Satori World Medical takes to ensure the highest quality care for its patients.”

Satori World Medical’s MQAB is comprised of Board Certified physicians who are recognized leaders in their sub-specialty field. Under the direction of Satori World Medical’s CMO Ron Johnson, M.D., F.A.C.S., the MQAB continuously monitors and evaluates clinical procedures and guidelines to ensure superior quality medical care for every patient who utilizes the Satori Global Network™.

Satori World Medical provides access to its global network of Board-Certified doctors and JCI-accredited hospitals through a high-quality, integrated program, which is easily added to any health plan, reducing the costs of surgical procedures by an average of 40-80 percent when compared to the same procedures performed in a U.S. hospital.

Commented Steven Lash, President & CEO of Satori World Medical, “The addition of Dr. Jaimovich is quite an honor for our company. Having the confidence and support of one of the industry’s foremost medical quality experts demonstrates our company’s ongoing commitment and ability to deliver superior medical care and outcomes for all patients who undergo surgical procedures at any of our participating international hospitals. We greatly look forward to benefiting from the expertise and guidance that Dr. Jaimovich will provide.”

Dr. Jaimovich is the President and Founder of Quality Resources International, a consulting organization dedicated to collaborating with the healthcare community worldwide to improve the quality and safety of health services through education, consultation, technical assistance, practical tools, and guidance. As the former CMO and VP of International Accreditation Services for Joint Commission Resources (JCR) and JCI, Dr. Jaimovich realized the need to develop quality and performance improvement programs and patient safety initiatives as they relate to accreditation and improving the safety of patients in the hospital setting. He has overseen the development of these programs worldwide, and has worked closely with governments and healthcare agencies on five continents.
