For Valentine's Day, Lifestyle Correspondent and Her Two Sets of Twins Show a Little Love Where Its Needed the Most
Date:2/13/2010

Two sets of preschool aged twins find a way to warm the hearts and feet of little ones at the Cleveland Clinic Children's Hopsital.

(PRWEB) February 13, 2010 -- Five years ago, in August of 2004, Leisa Naples gave birth to a set of identical twins. One year later, in November 2005, Leisa gave birth to her second set of identical twins. Both sets of twins (all girls) were born prematurely due to a dangerous medical condition Leisa developed during her pregnancy, called HELLP Syndrome. The only cure for the deadly condition is to deliver the baby. So not only did Leisa suffer this with her first twin pregnancy, but against all medical odds, it occurred again during her second twin pregnancy. "The nurses were just remarkable, I could not have asked for better care of myself and my little angels," Leisa said. The two twin pregnancies both came as a surprise and seemed like fate since no in vitro fertilization was involved.

Leisa is convinced that if it weren't for her excellent care at the Cleveland Clinic Hospital, she and her four little darlings may not have survived. So last year Leisa decided to start a Valentine’s Day tradition, where the whole family would give back some love to the hospital that gave them so much love during the first days of the twins lives. Last year Leisa donated some of her Valentine tutus and graphic heart tees from her children’s clothing line, Twins Twice Tutus. Now that the older set of twins are five and the younger four, they had their own idea of what they wanted to give to the children this year. Livvee and Sage, the older twins insisted that the girls needed the heart legwarmers and socks that they helped mom design for her Cupid Couture Collection. They thought it was the perfect gift, since this winter seemed to be overcome with frigid temperatures and endless snow. Younger twins, Brielle and Simone thought the boys might enjoy some princess coloring books. Leisa’s husband, Dr. Mullins decided to step in to add to his daughters ideas for the boys with more appropriate arts and crafts. " With four girls at home surrounded by a flurry of pink, a house full of tutus and trunks of fairy wings, I think I needed some gift suggestions for the boys”, Leisa commented.

Leisa says,” there is such a lack of giving on Valentine’s Day when compared to other holidays. The children that are in the hospital should receive something sweet for Valentine’s Day. Even if it only takes their minds off being sick for a short time, it lets them know others are thinking about them on this special day”.

Leisa is so pleased to take part in this tradition as a family for the second year now. She envisions her girls ten years from now organizing this donation and knows they will come up with something much more fantastic to give, with their strong minds and dramatic imaginations. “My girls are so passionate about giving to these children who can’t be at home on Valentine’s Day because they are not well. I am so proud of their enthusiasm at such a young age”, Leisa adds. All four girls helped their mother pack the legwarmers in special bags that they designed. Leisa hopes this will inspire other families to take the time to give to individuals or oganizations who may need some extra love on Valentine’s Day.

Leisa Naples is a Lifestyle Correspondent, noted for having co-hosted the ESPN show "Kianna's Flex-appeal", as well as being an International Spokeswoman representing products worldwide, in both infomercials and as a guest host on most all of the shopping channels. She recently launched a brand-new family-oriented website which brings healthy living tips to America's Families appropriately named, Living Well With Leisa (http://www.livingwellwithleisa.com). Her new lifestyle television reports, “Living Well with Leisa” have been seen on local newscasts around the U.S., as well as on the Huffington Post.
