Footwear etc. Announces the Spring 2013 Collection of Shoes and Sandals from Orthaheel

Sunnyvale, CA (PRWEB) March 27, 2013

Footwear etc. is pleased to announce that it has received the Spring 2013 Collection of footwear from Orthaheel. This is an incredibly popular brand, and the wide variety of styles has proven to be a real hit with customers. The Orthaheel brand also encompasses shoes by Dr. Andrew Weil and Vionic by Orthaheel . All of these shoes are recommended by the American Podiatric Medical Association, and are the perfect casual shoes for walking, casual outings, and normal daily activities.

Orthaheel sandals and shoes contain a podiatrist designed Tri-Planar Motion Control footbed. This footbed helps keep your foot in its natural alignment and help prevent pronation. With natural alignment, your feet and legs can experience a decrease in heel, knee, leg and back pain. The deep heel cup provides outstanding support and stability, and the arch support gives your feet the foundation they need to walk or stand for hours. This technology helps restore dynamic foot function, resulting in an orthotic-quality product for consumers.

Sale Manager Andrew Monarch adds, “Orthaheel is a phenomenal brand of casual footwear. Our customers love the orthotic footbeds and all of the attractive styles. It has proven to be one of our best sellers and we are excited to introduce the new models.”

In addition to women’s and men’s styles of shoes and sandals, there are two other subcategories in the Orthaheel brand: the Vionic by Orthaheel collection, which is designed as motion control footwear for recovery from sports. Featuring a triple-density midsole and a high-traction Vibram outsole, these casual sandals are great for recovery from sports or for everyday wear. Weil by Orthaheel is a collection of shoes designed by wellness expert, Dr. Andrew Weil, who is the director of the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine. Dr. Weil’s philosophy is that shoes should counteract the stress of walking on hard and unnatural surfaces, and therefore through balance and alignment of your feet you’ll gain all sorts of wellness benefits. Weil by Orthaheel shoes feature full-grain leather uppers, durable rubber outsoles, and some models even have flexible cork midsoles to absorb shock. All Orthaheel shoes, regardless of collection, contain the same biomechanical orthotic arch support and Tri-Planar Motion control footbed.

Some of the new models for Spring include: the Orthaheel Women’s Lola, a flip flop adorned with two-toned metal trim that is available in Pewter, Black, or Chocolate synthetic; the Orthaheel Women’s Bali Slingback, a sandal embellished with beads and available in Raspberry, Black, Ivory, and Cobalt synthetic; Weil by Orthaheel Women’s Faith, a beautiful slide with a faux snakeskin-patterned adjustable Velcro strap that is available in Navy, Black, Brown, and Grey; and the Orthaheel Men’s Boys, a Vionic model available in Black or Taupe leather/nylon.

Look for the entire collection from online at and at their retail store locations in Northern California and San Diego.
