Focal Upright Furniture Announces ErgoDepot as First Retail Partner

Portsmouth, R.I. (PRWEB) February 02, 2013

Focal Upright Furniture is pleased to announce that Ergo Depot, headquartered in Portland, OR, has become Focal Upright’s first retail partner.

“We are thrilled to be working with Ergo Depot,” commented Martin Keen, Focal’s Founder and CEO.

Mr. Keen, who previously founded Keen Footwear, went on to say that, “David Kahl and the team at Ergo Depot share my passion for products that help people to live better and work better. They are very thoughtful about body-conscious design and also product quality. I think this is why the ErgoDepot team is so excited about our “lean-to-stand” approach, which is ergonomically beneficial, yet completely revolutionary in the market.”

Focal’s Locus Workstation was awarded the Attendees’ Choice Award at the National Ergonomics Conference and Exhibition in December 2012. Many of the professionals who voted for the product at the conference said that they think the Focal Locus Workstation has the potential to enhance worker productivity while combatting “sitting disease.”

“Sitting so much is killing us,” said David Kahl, founder and CEO of Ergo Depot. “Our bodies were made to move so our equipment at home and work needs to encourage it. It’s genius that Martin Keen incorporated balance into the Locus workstation with the movement and beauty we look for in our products. We’re excited to be Focal’s first retail partner.”

Ergo Depot, founded by David Kahl, is one of the nation’s leading ergonomic furniture retailers. Ergo Depot curates a product line that encourages movement and promotes a healthier lifestyle. The company’s corporate clients include Intel, Nike, Google, PepsiCo, Disney, Goldman Sachs,, Boeing, Procter & Gamble, Humana, and hundreds of others.
