Florida Orange Juice Adds a Healthy Splash of Flavor and Sunshine to Recipes
Date:2/26/2008

versatile orange juice -- as a refreshing beverage or an ingredient in breakfast, lunch or dinner recipes -- rival its invigorating taste. An 8-ounce glass of 100 percent Florida orange juice provides more than the recommended Daily Value of vitamin C, and is a good source of folate and potassium.

"Culinary trends this year are focusing on refreshingly bold flavors and natural ways to sweeten dishes," says Chef Scott Uehlein, executive chef of the renowned Canyon Ranch Health Resorts and SpaClubs. "Orange juice is one way to achieve this trend; I often add 100 percent Florida orange juice to many of my recipes."

To inspire Americans entering the Back to the Grove recipe contest, Uehlein has shared some of his favorite recipes that include 100 percent Florida orange juice. "After trying these recipes, I hope others can be as excited about using zesty, sweet pure Florida orange juice as I am." More of Uehlein's recipes can be found at http://www.floridajuice.com/backtothegrove.

The Florida Department of Citrus is an executive agency of Florida government charged with the marketing, research and regulation of the Florida citrus industry.
