Florida Lawmakers Agenda Against the Future of Medical and Recreational Marijuana in Florida May Have Severe Repercussions, as Reported by PotStores.com
Date:6/21/2013

Miami, FL (PRWEB) June 21, 2013

Beginning July 1, 2013, all types of smoking devices will become illegal in Florida under a new bill signed by Governor Rick Scott. The bill is referred to as FL HB49 / SB1140 and makes the use, sale and possession of devices used to smoke tobacco illegal in the state of Florida. According to Potstores.com, the implications surrounding the execution of this bill may prove to be one of the most economically destructive actions Governor Scott has ever implemented since being elected into office.

PotStores.com believes that [FL HB 49 / [SB1140 may have just put thousands of businesses and their employees out of a job. In addition, the bill states that anyone who is found in possession of water, electric, glass, stone and any other style of pipes more than once may be charged with a third degree felony (F3), thrown into prison (not jail) and have their voting rights stripped--permanently.

Specifically, the bill establishes the existence of five crimes related to this kind of "drug" paraphernalia: use or possession of drug paraphernalia; manufacture or delivery of drug paraphernalia; deliver of drug paraphernalia to a minor; transportation of drug paraphernalia and advertisement of drug paraphernalia. In other words, anyone caught selling, having, using or attempting to sell a smoking pipe of any kind, even if it is sold in a legitimate establishment, could be arrested on a misdemeanor charge.

Millions of Floridians who depend on the manufacturing and sale of tobacco pipes to provide them with a weekly paycheck will undoubtedly feel repercussions from the enactment of this bill. Furthermore, Potstores.com suggests that FL HB49 / SB1140 will negatively impact the financial conditions of local governments as well as Florida's government.
