Florida Hospital Association Recognizes Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel and Florida Hospital Carrollwood at the Celebration of Achievement in Quality and Service Awards

The Florida Hospital Association (FHA) recently recognized two Florida Hospitals in the Tampa Bay area at the annual Celebration of Achievement in Quality and Service awards. Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel received the Best Hospital Workplace and Florida Hospital Carrollwood received the award for Leadership in Quality and Patient Safety.

Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel was recognized for its success intentionally developing an inspired work force of employees, physicians, and volunteers while promoting the physical, mental and spiritual health and healing of its patients, their families and the community. In 2015, Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel was also named the number one workplace in the Tampa Bay Times Top Workplace survey.

“We are honored to receive this award. We know that engaged employees deliver higher quality care to patients so our hospital has a comprehensive employee engagement program that consistently reconnects our staff with our mission and reminds them the importance of compassionate, quality care one patient at a time,” said Denyse Bales-Chubb, President and CEO of Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel.

During the past year, Florida Hospital Carrollwood has continued to develop a culture that is dedicated to quality and patient safety. From the development of a quality team to the creation of a Patient Safety Council and Rapid Response teams, the hospital’s leadership team has created a high standard of care for all patients.

“We are blessed with outstanding leaders who have an unwavering commitment to patient safety, experience, and quality. It’s an honor to be awarded the Leadership in Quality and Patient Safety award for our team’s amazing efforts,” said Joe Johnson, President and CEO of Florida Hospital Carrollwood. “With our focus on excellence, our team has created a focused patient safety leadership structure and has exceeded our goals for patient safety reporting. I am so proud of our team for making a difference within the organization and for our community.”

In addition, Florida Hospital Carrollwood was recently recognized with a Citation of Merit for commitment to providing outstanding patient care and received the Premier QUEST Award for High-value Healthcare.

“Every day, Florida caregivers and trustees work to deliver the best quality care at the best value,” said Bruce Rueben, FHA President. “The hospitals and leaders recognized this year have demonstrated innovative ways to impact patient care and their communities.” To learn more about the honorees recognized by the Florida Hospital Association visit:
