JACKSONVILLE, Fla., June 9 /PRNewswire/ -- The Florida Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery (FSDDS) recently named Albert J. Nemeth, MD, as President of the Society at its 2009 Annual Meeting in Boca Raton, Florida. Dr. Nemeth is the 71st President of Florida's oldest medical society, established in 1930 and dedicated to excellence in all aspects of Medical and Surgical Dermatology.
Dr. Nemeth is currently the Director of the Advanced Specialized Laser Center in Clearwater, Florida, which he founded in 1993. He is also an Affiliate Associate Professor of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery at the
Deeply involved in medical education, Dr. Nemeth is a Fellow of numerous dermatology medical societies, Chairman of the Dermatology Foundation Leaders Society of Florida, and a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology. He has won numerous awards for his excellence in medicine and research, and has lectured on key issues in dermatology and laser surgery to international audiences. As an executive board member of the FSDDS, he has been highly active in the Society and as its new President it is expected that he will make a substantial contribution toward attaining the goals of the Society.
