FlipOver.org Mobilizes Social Entrepreneurship Through Crowdsourcing Agreement with Indonesia’s Largest Youth Organization

“Karang Taruna is a network of youth organizations in villages that empowers kids and adults through activities from playing sports, learning financial skills and creating artwork – our organization teaches important skills from leadership and community values, to accepting diversity. FlipOver is leading the way to improve communities like ours in real, substantive ways,” said Taufan Eko Nugroho Rotorasiko, chairman of Karang Taruna.

A GPS for Social Impact: Identify Needs, Design Solutions, Change What Matters

Launched only six months ago in Bilbao, Spain, FlipOver.org has developed the world’s first Social GPS. Social GPS will serve to identify community issues including the need to support healthcare, social welfare, education, the environment, animal protection and development. Using its online website anyone in the world can report a need for change. Reports are verified through news sources and loaded to the Social GPS database where information is tagged, categorized and measured using advanced semantics. FlipOver.org seeks to generate the most comprehensive online database of social needs, in order to create greater awareness about the world’s biggest challenges.
