Aerial Classes start the morning with the Soaring Heights at 10am. Followed by the children from the program taking the first flights with Flightlinez Venice Beach at 10:45.
Flightlinez will open to the public at 11am. After almost two weeks of delays between materials and mother nature, the zipline attraction Venice Beach has been patiently waiting for is ready to fly.
Locals and tourist alike will enjoy racing the birds above and children below as they coast through windward circle, now part of the street performers.
Phase two of the project is set to begin on Wed. Local artists having been patiently waiting for construction to be completed. Over a dozen talented locals will be finishing their artwork onsite for the community to enjoy. Venice Beach is known for its talent and Flightlinez was more than excited to showcase some of that talent. Artwork will surround the k-rails near each tower and bring a more pleasing visual to the whole display.
Phase three is their community performance. Scheduled for August 10, children from the Soaring Height program and local performers will be collaborating for a community performance on and around the Flightlinez. Join the Venice Beach Community at 8pm with a celebration afterwards at the host location, Bank of Venice, located under the Venice sign at 80 Windward Str.
Soaring Heights is a mentorship program focused on Dance, Aerial and Theater. Students are showcasing their work for the community creating a gracious opportunity for not only the students to share their efforts but for the community to unite. A portion of the ride proceeds will go back to the city to assist in these efforts. Flightlinez has set up a children's program with Soaring Heights allowing kids to experience different forms of art, dance, performance, and natural leader skills they can use throughout life.
