Flashpoint Launches Flashlight Interactive, Names Kristen Goelz Head of New Division
Date:6/3/2008

NEW YORK, June 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Flashpoint Medica, a full-service healthcare advertising agency and member of the Omnicom Group (NYSE: OMC), has launched Flashlight Interactive, a new business unit devoted to digital communications. The new division will be led by agency veteran Kristen Goelz, who joins the company as vice president, director of interactive services.

Flashlight Interactive will offer a variety of programs and capabilities, including video production, animation, gaming, interactive training tools, and thought leader development programs. "Our clients are thrilled with this addition," said Charlene Prounis, managing partner of Flashpoint Medica. "We are already working on several interactive programs with Genentech, Pfizer, Indevus and UCB, vastly expanding the reach and channels of communication for client initiatives."

Noting that Flashpoint has always embraced the innovative methods of digital communication, the company's other two principal officers, Risa Bernstein, co-president and managing partner, and Helen Appelbaum, chief operating officer, concurred that digital technology offers virtually limitless opportunities for improving communications among all audiences involved in healthcare.

"A differentiating hallmark of Flashlight will be the development of innovative programs in the area of DPE (the doctor-patient encounter)," Bernstein said. Appelbaum emphasized that Flashpoint and Flashlight will be seamlessly integrated, ensuring that the brand strategy for each interactive program is fully synchronized with related offline programs.

Flashlight Interactive will be led by Kristen Goelz, who was key member of the interactive division of Accel Healthcare Communications in New York.
