Fitness on the Go's Rewards Program Helps Clients Reach Their Goals
Date:7/31/2014

Toronto, Ontario (PRWEB) July 31, 2014

Setting goals for a fitness program is very important, and is commonly seen on blogs on successful tips to weight loss. Fitness on the Go has been helping customers reach their fitness goals for over 8 years, and has worked with 6000 customers on an individual basis throughout Canada with their personal trainers. “We have had the chance to monitor why customers start exercising with a personal trainer, why they stop exercising, how long they stick to their program, whether or not they have a goal when they begin, and if they reach it. We have found interesting data which helped us create our rewards program,” states Dan Mezheritsky, president of Fitness on the Go.

Fitness on the Go introduced a points system for each session the client has with their personal trainer, plus they earn more points by completing their homework. “It is the small victories that people need to celebrate to achieve their fitness goals,” Mezheritsky states. “Otherwise your goal can get very daunting and seem unattainable, which usually results in quitting your program. These small rewards that the clients earn by completing their homework actually provides positive reassurance, accomplishment and happiness to the individual.” The part of the brain that contributes to positive emotions is the amygdala and is the centre for processing positive reward, so it is true that each time a client earns rewards, it does create a positive, happy emotion.

Fitness on the Go has been able to notice a significant increase on the number of clients who reached their goals in a defined time period. They have noticed almost a 15% increase in clients reaching their fitness goals since the addition of the rewards points system over the last 12 months.
