Frontier Service Design Creates Tangible Value by Revealing New Revenue Sources

MALVERN, Pa., Jan. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Frontier Service Design, LLC, a firm that specializes in designing customer-centric services that create new and recurring revenue streams for growth-oriented companies, today announced its official launch.

Service design is an innovative way to identify, build and launch new services around business opportunities that yield new sources of revenue for an organization. By combining disciplines of business analysis, sociology, technology, user experience and usability, Frontier Service Design provides integrative thinking and actionable solutions for companies that want to increase or diversify their revenues. Service design is a well-defined discipline in Europe, but Frontier Service Design is the first firm in the United States to focus exclusively on this growing trend.

"Working with Frontier Service Design, we were able to turn an internal cost center into a lucrative recurring revenue stream," said Bob Norris, founder of Complete Healthcare Communications. "Through Frontier's strategic council, we turned an internal knowledge database into PubsHubs.com, a Web-based subscription service that diligently tracks publishing criteria, editorial contacts, publishing calendars, and a wide variety of other specialty data for healthcare organizations."

"Currently, about 70 percent of the US economy is driven by services. Any company that wants to thrive in the current business climate needs to use innovation to positively influence the ways people interact with them -- from the brand promise, to the buying decision, to the actual service experience itself -- and beyond," said Bob Cooper, founder of Frontier Service Design, LLC. "We specialize in understanding what customers want, what technology makes possible, and what real value our clients deliver. We then translate all of that into service offerings that create new value for both our clients and their customers."

Bob Cooper, founder and chief executive officer of Frontier Service Design, is a serial entrepreneur with a knack for seeing trends. Cooper's first success was Frontier Media Group, a firm he founded in 1991 which was a pioneer in the development of multimedia for sales support, training and entertainment for Fortune 500 firms. In 1998, Cooper sold Frontier Media Group to Icon CMT, and four months later, Qwest Communications acquired Icon CMT. At Qwest, Cooper served as senior vice president of strategic consulting.
