First Defense Nasal Screen Comp. Releases New Protection Product Just in Time for Pandemic Flu Season

As citizens search to protect themselves from the flu viruses that are rapidly spreading, one of the best protections may actually be right under our nose. FDNSC, a Tampa company has designed a new product that stops viral droplets from being inhaled, adding another much needed layer of prevention against the flu viruses.

FDNSC, a Tampa company has designed a new product that stops viral droplets from being inhaled, adding another much needed layer of prevention against the flu viruses.

After Certified Testing First Defense Nasal Screens (FDNS) have been recently proven to reduce particulate air matter >90% at 1(µm) and > 99% at 10 (µm) or higher (which covers most flu respiratory droplet sizes, thus greatly reducing exposure to airborne droplets and many types of flu). "Q. What does flu infect?

A. Flu infects the cells lining the nose, trachea and lung. It does NOT normally get into the blood or infect cells lining the mouth, esophagus, stomach or intestines.

Q. How does flu spread?

A. Direct contact- someone gets virus on their hand and spreads it to their nose or eyes. Frequent hand washing or use of hand sanitizers stops this spread.
