First Choice Emergency Room, the leading freestanding emergency room system in the United States, opened its seventeenth facility in Colorado Springs today. The facility is located at 2770 Powers Blvd and is open 24 hours, 365 days a year.
“We are very pleased to open the first facility in Colorado today,” said Dr. Andrew Kosmowski, Facility Medical Director of First Choice Emergency Room’s Colorado Springs facility. “We are looking forward to serving the Colorado Springs community and providing our patients with the highest quality emergency medical care.”
In honor of the grand opening, First Choice Emergency Room hosted a ribbon cutting with the Colorado Springs Business Alliance and a medical community open house. First Choice Emergency Room also made a $5,000 donation to Care and Share Food Bank for Southern Colorado.
“Care and Share is honored to receive this gift and partner with First Choice ER in meeting the needs of those in our community who are at risk of hunger,” said Lynne Telford, President and CEO of Care and Share Food Bank for Southern Colorado. “This gift of $5,000 will allow us to provide more than 40,000 meals throughout Southern Colorado.”
All First Choice Emergency Room facilities are staffed exclusively with board-certified emergency physicians and emergency trained registered nurses. The facilities are equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic technology (CT Scanner, Digital X-Ray and Ultrasound) and COLA and CLIA accredited labs.
