First Choice Emergency Room Kingwood Hosts Blood Drive

First Choice Emergency Room, the leading freestanding emergency room system in the United States, has partnered with the Kingwood Rotary Club to hold a community blood drive. The donor coach will be parked at the First Choice ER Kingwood facility on Northpark Drive on Sunday, August 4th, from 12:30-5pm.

"The need for blood is great in the Kingwood community and we are happy to partner with the Kingwood Rotary Club to host this blood drive and encourage people to donate," said Dr. Daniel O’Connor, Facility Medical Director of First Choice Emergency Room’s Kingwood facility.

To encourage people to donate, First Choice Emergency Room will give each person who gives blood a $10 Wal-Mart gift card. Anyone interested in donating blood can pre-register online at http://www.giveblood.org with sponsor code R684.

All First Choice Emergency Room facilities are open 24 hours, 7 days per week. The facilities are staffed exclusively with board-certified emergency physicians, emergency trained registered nurses and equipped with state of the art diagnostic equipment (CT, Digital X-ray, Ultrasound).
