First Choice Emergency Room Announces Dr. John Pinkstaff as Medical Director of Cypress, Texas Facility

First Choice Emergency Room, the largest network of independent freestanding emergency rooms in the United States, named Dr. John Pinkstaff, as theMedical Director of its new Cypress-Fairfield facility.

“We are pleased to announce Dr. Pinkstaff will be the facility medical director of our new Cypress-Fairfield location,” said Dr. James M. Muzzarelli, Executive Medical Director of First Choice Emergency Room.

Dr. Pinkstaff received his undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University at College Station and his medical degree from the University of Texas for Medical Science in Galveston, TX. Prior to joining First Choice Emergency Room, he served as Attending Physician at College Station Medical Center. Between 2005 and 2007, Dr. Pinkstaff served as Team Physician at Arkansas Children’s Hospital. He also served as Attending Physician at Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro, TX. Dr. Pinkstaff is board-certified in emergency medicine with over ten years of clinical experience.

All First Choice Emergency Room facilities are open 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. The facilities are staffed exclusively with board-certified physicians and emergency trained registered nurses. First Choice Emergency Room facilities are equipped with a full radiology suite, including CT scanner, Digital X-ray, Ultrasound, as well as on-site laboratories certified by the Clinical Laboratory Improvements Amendments (CLIA) and accredited by the Commission on Office Laboratories Accreditation (COLA).
