FindCareHomes.com Features New Interactive Tools and Free Services to Simplify the Search for Elder Home-Care
Date:2/11/2008

WINCHESTER, Calif., Feb. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Nowadays, caring for elderly family members is typically very costly and often challenging. Thankfully, some tools to ease the process are free and uncomplicated, specifically the online services now being provided by FindCareHomes.com (http://www.findcarehomes.com). The website's new interactive services and features provide families a way to search for California's nearly 8,000 licensed homes, or State Licensed Residential Care Facilities (SLRCF). The site also offers a complimentary placement service.

"While there are other companies that provide placement services, we do it for free and in a state-of-the-art fashion," says Marvin Gabut, co-founder of FindCareHomes.com. "We've developed online tools, such as our interactive map, which allows the site user to identify homes they would like us to research. This feature really helps in the home-care planning stages, and it empowers our customers because they're personally involved in the process of finding a licensed facility. Using the site's new search feature is easy. Click on the "Search Homes" link located on the homepage, and once that new page appears, enter the zip code and city of choice. Up pops a map, displaying the home-care options in both traditional and satellite views. A red marker indicates the available homes. Click on a marker for details about that particular facility, a photo, an information request link and even nearby alternatives.

"All the basic, initial research needed can be completed with a few clicks of a button," Gabut says. "We've made a concerted effort to keep the site clutter-free - and this interactive tool user-friendly - because we want people to feel comfortable with our services. Making home-care decisions for elderly family members can be stressful and overw
