Federal Biomet Hip Lawsuit Litigation Progresses with Recent Case List Update, Scheduling of Upcoming Case Management Conference, Bernstein Liebhard LLP Reports

A status conference to discuss matters related to federally-filed Biomet hip lawsuit (http://www.consumerinjurylawyers.com/biomet-magnum-hip-replacement) claims is scheduled to take place next month in a federal litigation now housing more than 700 cases, Bernstein Liebhard LLP reports.

A Case Management Order issued in September indicates that an upcoming conference in the federal Biomet hip replacement proceeding established in the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Indiana will be held telephonically on November 18th at 9:00 a.m. This meeting will involve claims over the Biomet M2a Magnum metal-on-metal hip replacement, which has been associated with early failure rates and the need for revision surgery in recipients who have come forward to file Biomet lawsuits. Recent court documents indicate that 725 cases are now pending in this litigation. (In re: Biomet M2a Magnum Hip Implant Products Liability Litigation – MDL No. 2391)
