Families of Children Affected by Leukemia Get Boost of Support Thanks to Gift From Chrysler Jeep Superstores

Gift To Be Presented At Telethon Will Help Raise Funds, Awareness For Children's Leukemia Foundation of Michigan

Donation Part Of Long History Of Support For CLFM

CLARKSTON, Mich., March 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Families of children affected by leukemia will receive an extra boost of support thanks to a gift from the Chrysler Jeep Superstores that will be presented during the Children's Leukemia Foundation of Michigan's (CLFM) first annual telethon.

The 18-hour telethon will air from 5:00 a.m. - 11:30 p.m., Thursday, March 19 on WXYZ-TV Channel 7 to raise money and awareness about the Foundation and its work. It will be hosted by Channel 7 News Sports Anchor Vic Faust and Reporter JoAnne Purtan.

"Chrysler Jeep Superstores is proud to be a $10,000 Gold Sponsor of The Children's Leukemia Foundation of Michigan telethon," said Clarkston Chrysler Jeep Superstore President and Owner Chuck Fortinberry. "The Foundation really provides a home for Michigan families battling leukemia and lymphoma. This telethon, and other fundraising efforts like it, helps give these families the resources they need."

"Chrysler Jeep Superstores have a long history of hometown community support, and helping to raise funds and awareness for an issue that affects so many families in our region and beyond is directly in line with that history," Fortinberry said.

Fortinberry is also the founder of the Annual David & Wanda Harrison Memorial Charity Ride, an eight-year-old motorcycle ride through Oakland County involving hundreds of motorcycle enthusiasts that raises money for the Children's Leukemia Foundation of Michigan.

The Chrysler Jeep Superstores are a group of 39 independently owned Chrysler Jeep Superstores in Southeast Michigan from Monroe to Fowlerville and from Clinton to Port Huron. Web site: w
