ASHVILLE, N.Y., May 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Fairbank Farms, a national ground beef producer, is issuing a voluntary recall of selected ground beef products produced at its Ashville, N.Y., facility and sold through Price Chopper, Shaw's, BJ's, and Wilson Farms retail outlets and C&S Wholesale distributor.

The affected product may contain small pieces of hard plastic. All recalled products have either a "sell-by" date of 05/13/08, 05/15/08, or a "Julian date 124" on the package's label. The products that are being recalled include:

Consumers are encouraged to check the packaging of any of these products to determine whether they are included in the recall. Only those products that are listed above with package labels containing the "sell-by" dates of 05/13/08, 05/15/08, or Julian 124 are included in this recall.

These products should not be consumed. They should be returned to the store where they were purchased for a full refund.
