Facet Solutions, Inc. Expands Executive Management Team

LOGAN, Utah, April 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Facet Solutions, Inc. announced today the addition of Dr. Marc Peterman to its executive management team. Dr. Peterman will serve as Vice President of Research and Development for Facet Solutions, bringing with him a long history of spine system/orthopedic development experience, most recently having directed development activities at Abbott Spine.

"The addition of Marc to Facet Solutions bolsters an already great team, which is developing motion preservation technologies that will change the way we treat spinal stenosis patients in the future," stated Mr. Geoff Pardo, President and CEO of Facet Solutions, Inc. "Marc has a history of innovation and success in driving commercially viable spine products to market and will be an integral part of advancing the anatomic design of Facet Solutions."

Commenting on his decision to join the Facet Solutions executive team, Dr. Peterman stated, "I have a very strong belief that restoration of normal, stable motion through anatomic facet arthroplasty will provide the best long-term solution for lumbar spinal stenosis patients. When I reviewed the Facet Solutions Anatomic Facet Replacement [AFRS(TM)] platform, I knew I wanted to be a part of this company."

The AFRS(TM) has been developed by Facet Solutions, Inc. to provide patients with lumbar spinal stenosis and facet degeneration, a motion preserving alternative to lumbar spinal fusion. The AFRS(TM) procedure includes replacement of the diseased facet joint with an anatomic implant that restores the natural motion, stability, and balance to the lumbar spine.
