FHS Corp. Announces Partnership with Vecna Technologies
Date:11/9/2009

Partnership to Combine Self-service Kiosks and Pricing Transparency Patient Estimations.

Denver, CO (PRWEB) November 9, 2009 -- Financial Healthcare Systems (FHS Corp) and AHA endorsed Vecna Technologies announced today a partnership that provides patients more control when interacting with providers by understanding their out-of-pocket expenses prior to service. FHSCorp’s HFMA peer reviewed product, ClearQuote, will integrate with Vecna Technologies’ QC Kiosk™ adding patient estimation services to point-of-care and patient self-service registration kiosk functionality.

The combination of self-service kiosks and patient financial responsibility estimators will give hospitals and health systems across the country the tools they need to increase collections and reduce bad debt.

“Vecna is excited to offer the capabilities of FHS Corp as part of our partnership,” said Will Locke, Self Service Product Manager, Vecna Technologies. “The tools offered through this partnership will further enable hospitals and health systems to address the challenge of growing bad debt and improve collections.”

The relationship will streamline the patient registration process for healthcare providers and allow the patient to “check in” in a similar process to the airline industry. Using a self service kiosk will give healthcare providers the ability to enhance and improve the patient experience through a highly configurable workflow. Ultimately, this relationship will give the healthcare provider the ability to collect, verify and update patient data; give directions within their facility; and even provide a contract-based estimation of the patient’s out of pocket expense for the procedure.

“We share the vision of helping transform the health care experience for patients, “ said Tim Estes, Co-founder and Chief Execut
