Eyefinity Selects Updox for Direct Messaging and Patient Portal

Updox, the industry leader for physician connectivity and CRM solutions for health care, announced that Eyefinity, the leader in Meaningful Use for the optometric industry and one of five innovative companies comprising VSP Global, has selected the Updox Direct Messaging Platform and Patient Portal as part of their strategy for enabling their customers’ efforts to meet the ONC 2014 Edition criteria for Stage 2 Meaningful Use.

Eyefinity is the largest practice management and electronic health record (EHR) software solutions company in the optical industry, offering integrated products and services to eye care professionals. The Updox patient portal is a self-service option which enables patients to interact with the practice in an efficient manner that improves patient service and satisfaction.

“Eyefinity is committed to providing eye care professionals with solutions that help them engage with patients and enhance patient care,” said Troy Eberlein, Senior Vice President of Product Management, Eyefinity. “This product partnership with Updox enables eye care providers to securely share electronic health information with their patients as well as other providers.”

Eyefinity joins the Updox Direct Network (UDN), the largest in the nation built on Direct, with more than 45 EHR vendors, representing 140,000 physicians.
